The Role: Commercial Representative
Based in either Goma or Bukavu, you'll work as a Commercial specialist focused on selling premium tires and equipment. You'll report to the Commercial Manager and operate with significant autonomy on your geographic territory. This is a full-time, permanent position (CDI) where your performance directly impacts your success.
Your Daily Responsibilities
This role combines traditional sales skills with strategic business development:
Commercial Prospecting
- Build and implement a prospection plan with your manager to identify new business opportunities
- Create and maintain a prospect database and respond to tenders
- Monitor market trends and gather competitive intelligence
- Research technical and commercial information to stay ahead of the market
Negotiation & Sales
- Present technical solutions and prepare detailed quotations for clients
- Provide samples and necessary documentation to support sales
- Negotiate and close contracts with clients
- Ensure timely payment collection and manage client accounts
Information Management
- Report on client visits and provide regular updates to management
- Track sales objectives including revenue targets and profit margins
- Maintain commercial dashboards and performance metrics
- Communicate market feedback to technical and marketing teams
- Identify and escalate customer issues or concerns
Client Relationship Development
- Manage and grow your existing client portfolio
- Analyze client needs and identify upselling opportunities
- Present new product lines and comprehensive service offerings
- Ensure quality standards are met throughout the customer experience
- Provide maintenance advice and ensure client satisfaction
- Monitor contract compliance
Required Qualifications
This position targets experienced sales professionals with:
- Education: BTS (Higher National Diploma), DUT (University Diploma in Technology), or engineering degree
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience in commercial or technical sales roles
- Skills:
- Master negotiation and prospecting techniques
- Organize and manage client tours/visits efficiently
- Understand sales administration and contract management
- Deep knowledge of products, accessories, and service options
