RP-KARONGI is part of Rwanda Polytechnic and plays a key role in strengthening skills development in Rwanda through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). - Lecturer in Agriculture Engineering Institution: RP Karongi College (RP-KARONGI) Reports To: Assistant Lecturer in Soil Sciences
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Instructor of Culinary Arts Applicants must have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or Hospitality Management
- At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience
- One year of industrial exposure in a related field
- Transcript or degree showing at least Second-Class Upper Division
- Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management must have a background in Culinary Arts
Assistant Lecturer in Hospitality Management Applicants must have:
- Master's Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Hotel Management, or Culinary Arts
- At least one (1) publication in a peer-reviewed indexed journal
- Transcript or degree showing Second-Class Upper Division
Lecturer in Agriculture Engineering Applicants must have:
- PhD in Horticulture, Plant Sciences, Agriculture, or Crop Sciences
- At least two (2) publications in peer-reviewed indexed journals
- Candidates with a PhD in Crop Sciences must have a background in Horticulture
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Selected candidates will be responsible for teaching and training students, planning and preparing lectures and practical sessions, contributing to curriculum development and implementation, supervising student projects, conducting research and innovation activities, participating in community outreach programs, facilitating student industrial attachments, conducting training needs assessments, participating in income-generating activities, providing professional and technical advice, managing research grant projects, engaging in continuous professional development, and performing any other duties assigned by supervisors.

Applicants must submit the following: Academic Degree Certificate, Academic Transcript (showing at least Second-Class Upper Division), proof of industrial exposure (where applicable), evidence of publications in peer-reviewed journals (where applicable), and an updated Curriculum Vitae (CV).
