SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS
The Government of Malaysia International Scholarship offers the following benefits to successful applicants:
- Full tuition fee waiver
- Monthly living allowance of RM 1,500 (approximately $4,036 annually)

The scholarship duration includes:
- Master's Programs: Up to 2 years
- PhD Programs: 3 to 4 years, subject to annual renewal based on academic performance.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be eligible for the Malaysia International Scholarship (MIS), applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a citizen of an eligible country (open to applicants from all countries)
- Intend to pursue full-time postgraduate studies (Master's or PhD) in Malaysia, or currently be studying full-time in Malaysian public universities or selected private institutions
- Age requirements:
- Not more than 40 years old for Master's applicants
- Not more than 45 years old for PhD applicants
- Possess strong academic qualifications:
- Master's applicants: Minimum CGPA 3.0 / Second Class Upper (Honours) at Bachelor's level
- PhD applicants: Minimum CGPA 3.0 or excellent results at Master's level in a related field
- Demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the following:
- IELTS: Minimum 6.0
- TOEFL (PBT): Minimum 550
- Previous degree taught in English (proof required)
AVAILABLE PROGRAMS
Applicants can apply for accredited postgraduate courses, with priority given to the following areas:
- Education
- Arts and Humanities
- Social Sciences, Journalism and Information
- Business, Administration, and Law
- Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Statistics
- Information and Communication Technologies
- Engineering, Manufacturing, and Construction
- Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries and Veterinary
- Health and Welfare (excluding medicine, nursing, and pharmacy)
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Applicants must prepare and upload the following documents in PDF format during the online application process:
- Completed application form
- Certified copy of passport (valid for at least 6 months)
- Certified copies of academic transcripts
- Undergraduate transcripts
- Master's transcripts (for PhD applicants)
- Official document explaining the grading system (if CGPA is not indicated)
- Certified copy of English proficiency test result (IELTS/TOEFL)
- Two letters of recommendation from referees
- Completed Endorsement Form
- Admission letter from a Malaysian university (if available)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Research proposal
