Key Responsibilities

As a Driver at GNI Rwanda, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Transporting goods and project personnel safely in the course of their official duties
  • Ensuring that vehicles are kept in perfect, clean condition at all times washing both the interior and exterior regularly
  • Performing periodic vehicle maintenance including changing batteries and motor oil at the appropriate times
  • Reporting any cases of accidents, injuries, or vehicle damage to the relevant supervisor or manager without delay
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, including all receipts related to vehicle maintenance
  • Keeping a proper travel log recording destinations traveled to, travel times, and working hours
  • Carrying out any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications and Requirements

GNI Rwanda is looking for a candidate who meets the following criteria:

  • Completed secondary education level at minimum
  • Solid knowledge of basic automotive maintenance procedures
  • Holds a valid Rwandan driving license (Class B, C, and D)
  • Has a minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience within a recognized institution or organization
  • Demonstrates exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with colleagues, partners, and community members
