POSITION SUMMARY
Rwanda Nut Company Ltd seeks to recruit a qualified professional for the position of Factory Project, Facility and Logistics Management Officer. This multifaceted role encompasses project management, facility operations, and comprehensive logistics coordination, requiring both field-based and office-based engagement on a daily basis.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Factory Expansion Project Management
- Develop comprehensive construction schedules and establish project milestones
- Source, evaluate, and manage construction contractors and project resources
- Coordinate with external stakeholders including consulting engineers, architects, and construction firms
- Conduct regular on-site supervision to monitor construction progress, safety protocols, and quality assurance
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and scheduling systems
2. Factory Facility Management
- Establish and maintain detailed factory equipment inventories and asset registers
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Engage and supervise qualified technicians and maintenance contractors
- Monitor equipment performance indicators and maintain maintenance schedules
- Coordinate with factory production teams to ensure operational continuity
3. Export Operations Management
- Prepare and manage comprehensive export documentation including:
- Commercial invoices and packing lists
- Insurance certificates and export permits
- Customs declarations and bills of lading
- Certificates of origin and quality analysis certificates
- Coordinate freight forwarding logistics including truck, container, and vessel bookings
- Supervise cargo loading operations in coordination with factory personnel
- Manage customs clearance procedures and ensure regulatory compliance
4. Import Operations Management
- Secure all requisite import documentation prior to cargo arrival, including:
- Commercial invoices and packing lists
- HS code classification and import permits
- Tax documentation and VAT exemption certificates
- Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and related certifications
- Facilitate customs clearance processes
- Arrange reliable transportation from ports of entry to factory facilities
- Maintain effective communication with international suppliers regarding shipment status and payment coordination
5. General Management Support
- Act as liaison between internal departments and external partners to facilitate operational efficiency
- Provide support for procurement, marketing, and related factory operations
- Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by senior management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized institution
- Strong organizational and project management competencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively
- Adaptability to dynamic work environments and shifting priorities
Desirable Qualifications
- Previous experience in project management, facility operations, or logistics
- Knowledge of international trade procedures and customs regulations
- Proficiency in supply chain management systems
- Experience with construction project oversight
WORKING CONDITIONS
Standard Working Hours
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 08:00 to 17:00 hours
Break Period: One hour for lunch and rest
Primary Location: Company office in Ruhanga, Rusororo, Gasabo, Kigali
Flexible Arrangements
- Remote work may be arranged based on operational requirements, particularly for activities near Kigali International Airport and city center locations
- Weekly office attendance schedules will be communicated by senior management and are subject to operational needs
- During construction phases, on-site factory supervision with flexible working hours will be required
- Overtime compensation will be provided in accordance with Rwandan labor legislation

Contract Terms
- Full-time employment with one-year renewable contract
- Initial probation period of six months, with possible extension to twelve months based on performance evaluation
- Salary review and potential increment upon successful completion of probation
- Gross salary subject to statutory tax deductions as prescribed by Rwandan Revenue Authority
Additional Provisions
Equipment:
- A company laptop may be provided if management assigns tasks requiring written reporting
- All company equipment must be returned upon termination of employment
Transportation Policy:
- Work-related transportation costs (office to work destinations and home to work destinations) are reimbursable upon submission of documented expense requests detailing dates and destinations
- Reimbursement requests are processed weekly
- Important Note: Daily commuting costs to the primary office location are incorporated in the gross salary and are not eligible for separate reimbursement
