Study in China: Scholarship Opportunity for Rwandan Level 5 Electrical Students, 2026
A new study opportunity is now open for Rwandan students who have completed Level 5 in Electrical Technology or a related electricity trade.
Forever TVET Institute, in partnership with Zhengzhou Electric Power College (ZEPC) in China, has announced the second cohort of the Sino-Africa Polytechnic Program. The program is designed for students who completed Level 5 during the 2024-2025 or 2025-2026 academic year.
Successful students will spend two years studying in China and will graduate with an Advanced Diploma.
What does the scholarship cover?
One of the main advantages of this opportunity is that ZEPC will cover tuition fees and accommodation for selected students.
However, students and their parents or guardians will still need to take care of several other costs.
These include:
- Airfare
- Passport expenses
- Visa expenses
- Medical examinations
- Medical insurance
- Food
- Personal expenses
- Other living costs while in China
So, while tuition and accommodation are covered, applicants should make sure their families are prepared to meet the other costs.
Who can apply?
The opportunity is aimed at students who completed Level 5 in Electrical Technology or related electricity trades.
Applicants should have completed their Level 5 studies during either:
- 2024-2025 academic year, or
- 2025-2026 academic year
For students who completed the national examination in 2025, a Level 5 diploma or result slip is required.
Those who completed Level 5 in 2026 and are still waiting for their national examination results can submit their Level 5 school report.
Required documents
Applicants need to prepare the following documents in hard copy:
- Level 5 diploma or result slip for candidates who completed the National Examination in 2025.
- Level 5 school report for candidates who completed Level 5 in 2026 and are awaiting national examination results.
- A copy of the National ID.
- A recent bank statement showing that the parent or guardian has the financial capacity to support the student during the study period in China.
It's important to have these documents ready before going to submit the application.

When will successful applicants be announced?
According to the announcement, successful applicants will be announced on August 20, 2026.
Students are expected to travel to China in September 2026.
Forever TVET Institute says it will assist successful applicants with visa processing and travel arrangements. The students will travel together with representatives from Forever TVET Institute and the Rwanda TVET Board.
How long is the program?
The program will last two years and will lead to an Advanced Diploma.
This gives eligible Level 5 graduates an opportunity to continue their technical education in China while gaining further training in the electrical and electricity-related fields.
