About CorpsAfrica

CorpsAfrica is a leading international nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young Africans to become changemakers in their own communities. Established in 2011 by former Peace Corps Volunteer Liz Fanning, the organization was founded on the belief that sustainable development is most effective when local people lead local solutions.

The idea for CorpsAfrica was inspired by conversations with young Moroccans who wanted the opportunity to serve their own communities in the same way American Peace Corps Volunteers do. This vision led to the creation of an organization that equips talented African youth with the skills, resources, and support needed to address community challenges from within.

Since launching its first volunteer program in Morocco in 2013, CorpsAfrica has expanded its operations to ten African countries, including Rwanda, Senegal, and Malawi. To date, hundreds of volunteers have implemented more than 800 community-driven development projects, including the construction of schools, water wells, roads, irrigation systems, literacy programs, and agricultural initiatives. CorpsAfrica continues to work toward its ambitious goal of expanding its programs to all 54 African countries.

Graphic Design Consultant Opportunity at CorpsAfrica

CorpsAfrica is inviting applications from experienced and creative professionals for the position of Graphic Design Consultant. This international consultancy offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the organization's fundraising, partnership development, and stakeholder engagement by creating visually compelling presentations that communicate its mission and impact.

The successful consultant will work closely with the CorpsAfrica team to transform existing content into professional presentations designed for executive audiences, institutional partners, donors, foundations, government officials, ambassadors, and corporate leaders. While CorpsAfrica will provide the presentation content, brand guidelines, photography, and other supporting materials, the consultant will be responsible for improving the visual structure, storytelling, and overall presentation design to maximize audience engagement.

Both presentations will be designed using Canva and delivered as fully editable files, allowing CorpsAfrica to update and customize the presentations for future use.

Scope of Work

The selected Graphic Design Consultant will be responsible for designing two high-quality presentations that align with the CorpsAfrica brand identity.

The first presentation will be a Partnership Pitch Deck, developed to support meetings with prospective corporate partners, foundations, institutions, and strategic stakeholders. The second will be a General CorpsAfrica Presentation that can be adapted for conferences, donor meetings, government engagements, ambassador briefings, and executive presentations.

Each presentation is expected to contain approximately 10 to 15 professionally designed slides, although the final number may vary depending on the content provided.

The consultant will also:

  • Develop modern, professional layouts that reflect the CorpsAfrica brand.
  • Design custom graphics, charts, icons, and infographics to simplify complex information.
  • Improve the organization and visual flow of the presentation content.
  • Recommend minor copy edits that enhance readability while maintaining CorpsAfrica's intended message.
  • Apply official brand colors, fonts, photography, and logos consistently throughout both presentations.
  • Participate in project review meetings and incorporate up to three rounds of revisions for each presentation.

Project Deliverables

Upon completion of the consultancy, the Graphic Design Consultant will submit:

  • One professionally designed Partnership Pitch Deck.
  • One professionally designed General CorpsAfrica Presentation.
  • Fully editable Canva source files.
  • PDF versions of both presentations.
  • All original graphics and visual assets developed during the project.

Resources Provided by CorpsAfrica

To ensure consistency throughout the project, CorpsAfrica will provide the selected consultant with:

  • Draft presentation content.
  • Official brand guidelines.
  • Logos.
  • Photography and existing visual assets.
  • Previous communication materials for reference.

Required Qualifications

CorpsAfrica is looking for a consultant who demonstrates exceptional creativity and professional design experience. The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Proven experience designing executive-level presentations for nonprofit organizations, international organizations, corporations, or social impact initiatives.
  • Advanced expertise in Canva.
  • Strong graphic design, typography, layout, and visual storytelling skills.
  • Experience producing fundraising, partnership, leadership, or board presentations.
  • The ability to communicate complex information through clear and engaging visual design.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to meet project deadlines.
  • Experience in copywriting or communications is considered an added advantage, particularly the ability to improve presentation content while preserving its intended meaning.

Project Timeline

The consultancy is scheduled to take place between August 10 and September 4, 2026.

Following the kickoff meeting and receipt of all project materials, the consultant will have five business days to complete the initial version of each presentation. Feedback will then be incorporated according to the agreed revision schedule until the final presentations are approved.

Evaluation Criteria

Applications will be evaluated based on the following factors:

  • Quality of the professional portfolio.
  • Creativity and visual storytelling ability.
  • Experience designing presentations for executive, donor, and partnership audiences.
  • Previous work with nonprofit or mission-driven organizations.
  • Copywriting and communication experience.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work within project deadlines.

Ownership of Intellectual Property

All completed presentations, Canva files, source files, graphics, and supporting design materials produced under this consultancy will become the exclusive property of CorpsAfrica upon final payment.

The consultant may include the completed work in a professional portfolio only after receiving written approval from CorpsAfrica.

Proposal Requirements

Interested applicants must submit:

  • A brief statement outlining relevant professional experience.
  • A proposed project fee in U.S. dollars.
  • Four examples of presentation or pitch deck designs.
  • Five additional graphic design samples demonstrating a broad range of work, including annual reports, branding materials, newsletters, brochures, or social media designs.
  • References from two current or former clients for projects completed within the last twelve months, including contact details and examples of completed work.
  • A resume combined with all portfolio samples into a single document, or a link where the complete portfolio can be accessed.

Application Deadline

Applications for the CorpsAfrica Graphic Design Consultant position must be submitted by Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the next stage of the recruitment process.
