ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Open to applicants from all countries
- Must demonstrate English language proficiency
- Must apply for a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) program at the University of Sydney
- Must commence full-time enrollment in an HDR program
- Research must align with the university’s current or emerging research strengths
- Must not have received an Australia Awards scholarship within the last two years before starting the RTP scholarship
- Must not have previously received an RTP Fee Scholarship (unless for a completed master’s by research degree)
- PhD applicants must not hold a qualification equivalent to an Australian Research Doctorate
- Research master’s applicants must not hold a qualification equivalent to or higher than an Australian Research Master’s degree
- Must not have been considered for the scholarship more than three times in the last five years
- Must not receive another scholarship substantially funded by the Australian Government covering tuition fees
