Position Details
Job Title: Teaching Assistant Intern, Humanities and Social Sciences
Duration: June 1 To November 30, 2026
Reports To: Head, Humanities and Social Sciences
Program: MBBS/MGHD
Location: Butaro, Rwanda
This role is designed for candidates passionate about education, mentoring, health sciences, and global health.
Key Responsibilities
The selected intern will:
- Assist course directors and visiting faculty in teaching activities
- Support grading of essays, exams, reports, and assessments
- Help draft and edit educational materials
- Manage learning materials on the Canvas Learning Management System
- Respond promptly to students and administrative requests
- Conduct student support sessions and office hours
- Uphold UGHE's Code of Conduct and Honor Code
Eligibility Criteria

Job Title: Infrastructure Assistant Intern
Reports To: Director of Infrastructure
Location: Butaro, Burera District, Rwanda
This internship supports infrastructure management operations and coordination activities across UGHE departments.
Main Responsibilities
Successful candidates will:
- Coordinate departmental activities and reporting
- Document and prepare departmental meetings
- Support procurement follow-ups
- Manage departmental petty cash
- Process contractor payments
- Coordinate transportation logistics
- Support infrastructure events and meetings
- Organize departmental documentation systems
- Assist new staff onboarding
