Job Summary
Good Neighbors International Rwanda is seeking qualified, motivated, and dynamic individuals to fill the position of Child Protection Field Officer. Successful candidates will be based at:
- Runda Community Development Project (CDP) – Kamonyi District (1 position)
- Cyiri Community Development Project (CDP) – Gisagara District (2 positions)
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsored children and their families
- Organize and facilitate monthly children’s group meetings at the village level
- Conduct quarterly meetings with parents of sponsored children
- Manage child protection cases, including medical follow-ups, reporting, and counseling
- Monitor children’s health and support those facing malnutrition
- Ensure school attendance and prevent dropouts among sponsored children
- Prepare and submit accurate sponsorship reports (GML, ACL, APR, CIF, and dropout reports)
- Facilitate health insurance enrollment for sponsored children
- Maintain proper records and report field activities regularly to the SSD Manager
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (A0) in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related role
- Experience with humanitarian or child protection organizations is an added advantage
- Strong communication skills in both English and Kinyarwanda
- Good interpersonal skills, especially when working with children
- Basic computer skills and reporting ability
