Globally, Good Neighbors International operates in over 40 countries and holds general consultative status with UN ECOSOC. In Rwanda, the organization is active in 19 districts, working closely with local communities to promote sustainable development and social well-being.

Job Summary

Good Neighbors International Rwanda is seeking qualified, motivated, and dynamic individuals to fill the position of Child Protection Field Officer. Successful candidates will be based at:

• Runda Community Development Project (CDP) – Kamonyi District (1 position)
• Cyiri Community Development Project (CDP) – Gisagara District (2 positions)

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsored children and their families
• Organize and facilitate monthly children’s group meetings at the village level
• Conduct quarterly meetings with parents of sponsored children
• Manage child protection cases, including medical follow-ups, reporting, and counseling
• Monitor children’s health and support those facing malnutrition
• Ensure school attendance and prevent dropouts among sponsored children
• Prepare and submit accurate sponsorship reports (GML, ACL, APR, CIF, and dropout reports)
• Facilitate health insurance enrollment for sponsored children
• Maintain proper records and report field activities regularly to the SSD Manager

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (A0) in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related role
• Experience with humanitarian or child protection organizations is an added advantage
• Strong communication skills in both English and Kinyarwanda
• Good interpersonal skills, especially when working with children
• Basic computer skills and reporting ability
