Requirements & Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

Once hired, the School Counselor will be expected to carry out the following duties:

Offer individual and group counseling for issues affecting students
Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions, assessments, and interventions
Serve as a student advocate and systems change agent within the school
Provide crisis intervention and identify learners who may be at risk
Uphold strict ethical and legal standards confidentiality is absolutely non-negotiable
Act as a positive role model and mentor, offering consistent guidance, support, and a listening ear to students in need
