Driver University of Global Health Equity
- Location: Kigali & Butaro, Rwanda
- Reports to: Transport and Logistics Fleet Coordinator
About the Role
The University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) is looking for a dependable, safety-conscious Driver to support our growing transportation operations across Kigali and Butaro. You'll be an essential part of our team ensuring staff, students, and university assets move safely, on time, and in line with UGHE's high standards.
What You'll Do
- Transport passengers, equipment, and documents safely and on schedule
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and flag any mechanical issues promptly
- Keep vehicle records current and ensure compliance with traffic laws and UGHE policies
- Report accidents, damage, or safety concerns immediately
- Maintain clean, secure, and well-presented vehicles at all times
- Use GPS tracking, fleet management systems, and digital reporting tools
- Adapt to flexible scheduling, including occasional weekend availability
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- Advanced Level Certificate (A-Level) or equivalent
- Valid Class D driving license (D1 preferred)
- Proven professional driving experience NGO, university, or corporate environment preferred
Skills
- Strong knowledge of local and regional routes
- Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda; French is a plus
- Basic computer literacy (Word, Excel, email); familiarity with vehicle tracking tools is an advantage
