2026 ASU GRADUATE CERTIFICATE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM (MASTERCARD FOUNDATION)

Applications are now open for the 2026 Arizona State University (ASU) Graduate Certificate Scholarship Program, offered in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation. This opportunity is designed for ambitious young African professionals seeking to gain in-demand skills through flexible, online graduate certificate programs. The Light of Engineering encourages all eligible members to submit their applications before the deadline to be considered.

Arizona State University delivers the program in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation. It aims to equip participants with practical knowledge in key business fields while fostering leadership, innovation, and community impact across Africa.

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS

The scholarship offers a comprehensive support package, including:

Full tuition coverage for an ASU graduate certificate
Flexible, part-time online learning format
Personalized 1:1 coaching and mentorship
Opportunity to gain industry-relevant, in-demand skills

Additionally:

Selected participants who successfully complete the certificate program will be automatically considered for a fully funded online master's degree in fields such as Supply Chain Management, Leadership Management, or Business Analytics

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Applicants must be a citizen of an African country committed to ethical leadership and demonstrated engagement in their community.
Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 33 on or before the application deadline.
Applicants must demonstrate a track record of leadership and service in their community.
Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence and ambitions that exceed one's financial resources.
Applicants must have earned an undergraduate degree conferred by July 2026.
Applicants must have no prior or current master's degree enrollment before or during the program.

Value of the Scholarship

The Scholarship will include the following:

Full tuition for an ASU graduate certificate
Flexible, online format
1:1 coaching and mentorship
Select participants will be awarded a scholarship for a fully-supported master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Leadership Management, or Business Analytics.

Graduate Certificate in Foundations of Supply Chain Management
Graduate Certificate in Global Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Graduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence in Business
