FULL SCHOLARSHIP IN INDONESIA (ASIA)

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia officially invites applications for the Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) Scholarship 2026, a prestigious fully funded scholarship program for international students from developing countries. This scholarship offers qualified candidates the opportunity to pursue Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degrees at leading Indonesian universities while experiencing Indonesia's rich academic and cultural environment.

The KNB Scholarship is administered by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of Indonesia, through the Directorate General of Higher Education, in collaboration with 47 accredited Indonesian host universities. Indonesian Embassies and Consulates play a key role in the nomination and verification process, ensuring transparency and quality in candidate selection.

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS

The KNB Scholarship 2026 provides comprehensive financial support, including:

• Full tuition fees for Indonesian Language Training (BIPA) and academic programs
• Monthly living allowance during the study period
• Monthly research and book allowance
• Settlement allowance upon arrival in Indonesia
• Health insurance covering outpatient and inpatient care
• Funding for one scientific publication (for Master's and Doctoral students)
• Round-trip economy class airfare from the applicant's home country to Indonesia

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must:

• Be citizens of developing countries with diplomatic relations with Indonesia.
• Meet the age limits (Bachelor: max 21, Master: max 35, Doctorate: max 40 by 31 December 2026)
• Hold the required academic qualifications for the chosen degree level.
• Meet minimum English proficiency requirements (unless exempted)
• Be physically and mentally healthy.
• Commit to full-time study in Indonesia and comply with scholarship regulations.

Specific requirements vary by degree level.

English Proficiency Requirements

Minimum scores required (certificate valid within last 2 years):

• TOEFL ITP: 477
• TOEFL iBT: 53
• IELTS: 5.5
• TOEIC: 510

Exemptions: Applicants from English-speaking countries or those who completed previous degrees in English (with official proof) are exempt.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Applicants are required to submit:

• Official passport (valid until at least December 31, 2027)
• Academic certificates and transcripts (legalized)
• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• English proficiency test certificate (if applicable)
• Recommendation letter from the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate
• Academic and professional recommendation letters
• Medical examination report (including physical exam, infectious disease screening, mental health test, and drug test)
• Statement of purpose or research proposal (Doctorate applicants)
• A personal motivation video (maximum 5 minutes, uploaded to YouTube)

All documents must be in English or Bahasa Indonesia.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

1. Download the official KNB Scholarship Offering Letter from http://knb.kemdiktisaintek.go.id
2. Apply for a recommendation letter from the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate in your country
3. Complete and submit the online application through the KNB portal
4. Participate in administrative screening, academic selection, interviews, and psychological tests (if required)
5. Await official announcement of results on the KNB website

All applications must be submitted online. Solicitation is strictly prohibited.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• All academic programs are conducted in Bahasa Indonesia
• Selected students must attend a compulsory Indonesian Language Training (BIPA) program
• Changing universities or study programs after selection is not permitted
• Scholarship recipients must return to their home countries after completing the program
• Marriage is not permitted during the scholarship period
• The program has supported 2,299 students from 107 countries since 2006
