JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Position: TV Agronomist

ROLE OVERVIEW

The TV Agronomist will deliver high-quality agronomic services in tea plantations to boost crop production and maintain superior quality standards.

KEY OBJECTIVES

• Increase crop production and productivity
• Ensure production of high-quality tea leaves
• Maintain excellence in plucking practices
• Guarantee timely green leaf delivery to factory
• Optimize resource utilization across assigned zones

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct tea crop maintenance demonstrations in assigned fields
• Train workers on fertilizer application methods and monitor compliance
• Establish and maintain nurseries for planting materials
• Recruit and sensitize tea pluckers
• Train and supervise pluckers on quality plucking techniques
• Promote and enforce Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs)
• Ensure proper use and safety of field equipment
• Collaborate with authorities to address farmer challenges
• Mobilize and manage resources effectively within assigned zones
• Support dissemination of company policies to workers and farmers
• Eliminate hawking activities in assigned zones
• Comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations
• Perform additional duties as assigned

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (A0) in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field
• Computer literacy required

Additional Qualifications:

• Valid motorcycle driving license (Category A) is an advantage

Experience:

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in agronomy or plantation management
