Position Overview
We are seeking a Marketing Assistant Intern to support our Marketing & Communications team in the creation of visual content, video editing, and execution of marketing initiatives. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to ongoing campaigns and daily content production while developing professional skills in a structured business environment.
Key Responsibilities
Graphic Design Support
- Assist in the design and production of marketing materials including banners, posters, flyers, social media visuals, and promotional content
- Ensure all creative output adheres to brand guidelines and quality standards
- Adapt and resize visual content for various digital and print platforms
- Collaborate with the marketing team to translate strategic concepts into effective visual communications
Video Editing & Multimedia Production
- Support video editing projects by applying graphics, audio, transitions, and visual effects
- Produce short-form video content, reels, and promotional materials for digital distribution
- Edit footage to create polished, professional final products
- Participate in content creation sessions and filming activities as required
Marketing Operations Support
- Assist with social media content development, scheduling, and platform management
- Monitor social media trends and provide recommendations for content optimization
- Prepare captions, basic copywriting, and support digital communication initiatives
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis
- Support website content updates and brand communication requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Background
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Multimedia, Communication, or a related discipline (in progress or completed)
Technical Competencies
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
- Demonstrated graphic design and visual storytelling capabilities
- Video editing skills supported by a professional portfolio
- Working knowledge of digital marketing tools (Canva, Meta Business Suite, content scheduling platforms)
- Understanding of social media platforms, trends, and engagement metrics
- Photography and videography skills are an advantage
Professional Experience
- Previous internship or volunteer experience in design, multimedia, or marketing preferred
- Experience within a marketing team or creative agency environment is advantageous
- Portfolio submission required: Applicants must submit a portfolio demonstrating design work and video editing capabilities
