Available Job Positions

1. Budget Officer

The Budget Officer will work under the supervision of the Director of Administration and Finance and will be responsible for:

  • Preparing institutional preliminary and final budgets.
  • Developing annual budgets and Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF).
  • Preparing financial and non-financial performance reports.
  • Budget execution monitoring and variance analysis.
  • Cash flow forecasting and management.
  • Coordinating budget planning with relevant departments.
  • Responding to audit recommendations related to budgeting.
  • Preparing expenditure reports and budget analysis.

Required Education

Applicants should possess:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Desired Skills

Successful candidates should demonstrate:

  • Strong knowledge of budgeting and financial administration.
  • Cost analysis skills.
  • Advanced computer proficiency.
  • Experience using IFMIS or similar financial management systems.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Fluency in Kinyarwanda and English and/or French.

2. Financial Management Specialist

The Financial Management Specialist will work under the supervision of the Chief Finance Officer and will be responsible for:

  • Preparing project budgets and annual work plans.
  • Managing project financial reporting.
  • Budget monitoring and expenditure analysis.
  • Processing donor fund withdrawals.
  • Managing payroll and project financial records.
  • Preparing quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Internal control and compliance monitoring.
  • Supporting project audits.
  • Asset management and donor financial reporting.
  • Debt recovery and receivables monitoring.

Required Education

Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Finance or Accounting with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Full CPA or ACCA qualification with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA are highly desirable.

  • Possess relevant educational qualifications.
  • Meet the required professional experience for the respective position.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Be proficient in financial management systems where applicable.
  • Have strong integrity, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Be able to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
