Position: Visa Assistant (NIV/IV)
The U.S. Embassy in Kigali is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Visa Assistant (Nonimmigrant and Immigrant Visas). This opportunity is open to all interested applicants and is available for immediate employment.
Key Responsibilities
The Visa Assistant will perform a variety of consular duties in support of non-immigrant visa (NIV) and immigrant visa (IV) services. Responsibilities include:
- Processing visa applications in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
- Data entry, document verification, and case file management
- Handling correspondence and customer inquiries (in person and in writing)
- Passport processing and visa printing
- Providing high-quality customer service to a diverse range of applicants
- Ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in reviewing documentation
- Identifying potential issues or trends and escalating them appropriately
- Supporting operations across both NIV and IV sections as needed
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
