DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
- Salary: RWF 350,000 – 580,000 per month
- Type: Full-Time
- Department: Finance
Main Purpose of the Role: To ensure accurate and timely financial management of the company by maintaining complete and compliant accounting records, managing cash and bank transactions, processing payroll, handling tax obligations, and reconciling income across systems.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the timely monthly closure of all company ledgers, ensuring accounts are accurate, consistent, and complete.
- Manage petty cash, MOMO accounts, and bank accounts, including regular reconciliation with bank statements.
- Maintain all financial records in required formats per internal and regulatory standards using double-entry accounting software.
- Administer monthly payroll following the company compensation plan and calculate final pay slips.
- Review and process employee expense claims.
- Manage all tax affairs ensure correct and timely declarations, payments, and tracking of refunds.
- Post realized income and reconcile records across the company's sales software, income realized, and tax entries.
- Allocate and post all financial transactions.
- Prepare checks, payments, and bank deposits while minimising bank charges.
- Produce various financial reports and reconcile them with third-party records.
- Check and verify source documents such as invoices and receipts.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Maintain a complete filing system for financial records in both soft and hard copy.
- Register employees with RSSB and process family changes (adding spouses and/or children).
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a corporate setting
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines
- CPA or equivalent professional certification is an added advantage
2. COMPANY DRIVER
- Salary: RWF 113,000 – 212,000 per month (net)
- Type: Full-Time
- Department: Finance & Logistics
- Reports to: Fleet Manager
Main Purpose of the Role: The Company Driver is responsible for operating assigned vehicles safely, ensuring their proper maintenance, and providing reliable driving services as directed by the Fleet Manager. Drivers are also expected to support technical responsibilities during non-driving hours.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive company vehicles to designated areas to transport people and deliver or pick up materials and packages.
- Run errands on behalf of WARwanda and its employees, including picking up and dropping off documents.
- Be available for driving duties Monday to Saturday during official work hours and respond to transportation requests within 15–20 minutes.
- Ensure the security of all company vehicles at all times when in use.
- Complete the vehicle logbook daily, recording every movement accurately.
- Collaborate with managers to fully implement the fleet management plan for the assigned vehicle.
- Monitor and maintain the assigned vehicle according to the fleet management plan to minimise downtime.
- Drive safely and defensively, following all traffic rules and regulations at all times.
- Assist with technical responsibilities as communicated by the CTO, CFO, or COO.
- Abide by all company procedures and perform all requested duties.
Qualifications Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent certificate
- Valid driving licence in category B, C, D, or F
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the driving or transportation industry (preferred)
- Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics

3. WELDER APPRENTICE

Main Purpose of the Role: This is a 6-month hands-on apprenticeship designed to train candidates in specific technical deliverables in support of the welding team. At the end of the programme, the most promising candidates may be offered full-time employment, while others are placed on a roster for future openings.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the welding team in assembling and welding modular parts for kiosks and other projects according to pre-established designs.
- Help prepare metal parts and materials for welding, including cutting, cleaning, and positioning.
- Assist in maintaining welding tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment in the workshop.
- Participate actively in training sessions and on-the-job learning opportunities.
- Aid in the development and improvement of jigs and frames under the welding specialist's direction.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining field jigs, elevated tank forms, manholes, and meter stands.
- Help with routine maintenance tasks such as painting and repairing metal structures to ensure the longevity of existing mini-grids.
Qualifications Required:
- TVET Certificate in Welding or related fields
- A1 Certificate in Welding or Manufacturing Production
- Basic understanding of welding techniques and tools
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic knowledge of safety practices in a workshop environment
- Physical strength and good hand-eye coordination
