SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS

Recipients of the JJ/WBGSP 2026 will enjoy:

  • Economy-class round-trip airfare between home country and host university
  • Additional $500 travel allowance per trip

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of a World Bank member developing country
  • Not hold dual citizenship of any developed country
  • Be in good health
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree obtained at least 3 years before the application deadline
  • Have at least 3 years of relevant development-related work experience
  • Be currently employed in a full-time, paid development-related role
  • Have gained professional experience within the last 6 years

The scholarship supports 52 participating Master's programs in key development areas, including:

  • Economic Policy Management
  • Tax Policy
  • Infrastructure Management
  • Public Administration
  • Development Studies

Programs are offered at selected universities across the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia & Oceania.

  • Academic transcripts
  • Updated CV/Resume
  • Proof of work experience (employment letters)
  • Recommendation letters
