GOVERNMENT OF JAPAN & WORLD BANK SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 2026 FOR MASTER'S DEGREE

This fully funded opportunity is designed for international students from developing countries who wish to pursue a Master's degree in development-related fields at top universities across the world. SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS

Recipients of the JJ/WBGSP 2026 will enjoy:

• Full tuition coverage for the entire Master's program
• Monthly living stipend to cover accommodation, food, and personal expenses
• Economy-class round-trip airfare between home country and host university
• Additional $500 travel allowance per trip
• Health insurance provided through the university
• Coverage for the duration of the program (up to 2 years)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must:

• Be a citizen of a World Bank member developing country
• Not hold dual citizenship of any developed country
• Be in good health
• Hold a Bachelor's degree obtained at least 3 years before the application deadline
• Have at least 3 years of relevant development-related work experience
• Be currently employed in a full-time, paid development-related role
• Have gained professional experience within the last 6 years

AVAILABLE PROGRAMS

The scholarship supports 52 participating Master's programs in key development areas, including:

• Economic Policy Management
• Tax Policy
• Infrastructure Management
• Public Administration
• Development Studies

Programs are offered at selected universities across the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia & Oceania.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Applicants should prepare:

• Completed online application form
• Bachelor's degree certificate
• Academic transcripts
• Updated CV/Resume
• Proof of work experience (employment letters)
• Recommendation letters
• Valid passport
• Medical certificate (if required)
