GOVERNMENT OF JAPAN & WORLD BANK SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 2026 FOR MASTER'S DEGREE

This scholarship is jointly funded by the Government of Japan and the World Bank, aiming to build capacity and empower professionals to contribute to the socio-economic development of their home countries. SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS
Recipients of the JJ/WBGSP 2026 will enjoy:
- Full tuition coverage for the entire Master's program
- Monthly living stipend to cover accommodation, food, and personal expenses
- Economy-class round-trip airfare between home country and host university
- Additional $500 travel allowance per trip
- Health insurance provided through the university
- Coverage for the duration of the program (up to 2 years)
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must:
- Be a citizen of a World Bank member developing country
- Not hold dual citizenship of any developed country
- Be in good health
- Hold a Bachelor's degree obtained at least 3 years before the application deadline
- Have at least 3 years of relevant development-related work experience
- Be currently employed in a full-time, paid development-related role
- Have gained professional experience within the last 6 years

The scholarship supports 52 participating Master's programs in key development areas, including:
- Economic Policy Management
- Tax Policy
- Infrastructure Management
- Public Administration
- Development Studies
Programs are offered at selected universities across the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia & Oceania.

- Bachelor's degree certificate
- Academic transcripts
- Updated CV/Resume
- Proof of work experience (employment letters)
- Recommendation letters

- Medical certificate (if required)
