The Ministry of Health (MOH) is inviting qualified and motivated candidates to apply for the position of Eye Health Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Coordination Officer. This role is essential to strengthening eye health systems, improving data-driven decision-making, and ensuring effective coordination of eye care programs nationwide.
The selected candidate will work closely with the Director of the Monitoring & Evaluation Unit and collaborate with key stakeholders, including government institutions, development partners, and health organizations, to enhance the implementation and evaluation of eye health programs in Rwanda.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must meet one of the following academic and professional requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Project Management with at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Development Studies with at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics with at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Health with at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Master's Degree in Development Studies with at least 1 year of relevant experience
- Master's Degree in Statistics with at least 1 year of relevant experience
- Master's Degree in Public Health with at least 1 year of relevant experience

AVAILABLE POSITIONS
- Eye Health M&E Coordination Officer (1 Position)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate eye health activities between the Ministry of Health and development partners
- Lead the development and implementation of eye care strategic plans
- Ensure equitable distribution of eye care equipment and consumables
- Organize and report on Eye Health sub-technical working group meetings
- Monitor implementation of eye health action plans, programs, and projects
- Analyze program reports and evaluate outcomes and impact
- Strengthen and manage Eye Health data systems including Eye Tracker Tool and R-HMIS
- Ensure availability of statistical data for policy-making
- Monitor budget execution for eye health programs
- Provide M&E capacity building support to districts
- Prepare quarterly and annual performance reports
- Coordinate cataract surgical plans in district hospitals
- Disseminate IEC messages and participate in radio awareness programs
- Serve as secretariat for the Eye sub-technical working group
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
