FUNDED SCHOLARSHIPS FOR BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN BIOMEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCES AT CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY OF RWANDA.
The Catholic University of Rwanda is pleased to announce a call for applications for funded scholarships in Health Programs for the March 2026 intake. Eligible and motivated students are invited to apply for scholarships to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences, aimed at strengthening the health workforce and supporting the development of Rwanda's healthcare sector. This scholarship opportunity is offered in collaboration with the Ministry of Health Rwanda within the framework of the 4x4 Strategy, which focuses on expanding and improving the national health system through the training of skilled professionals. The initiative seeks to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to contribute effectively to healthcare services across the country.
SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must have completed general secondary education.
- Must have studied one of the following subject combinations:
- Physics – Chemistry – Biology (PCB)
- Mathematics – Chemistry – Biology (MCB)
- Biology – Chemistry – Geography (BCG)
- Associate Nursing Programs

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Applicants should prepare the following documents when submitting their applications:
- Copies of academic certificates and transcripts from secondary education.
- Identification documents as required by the university.
- Any additional documents required by the admission office of the Catholic University of Rwanda.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Students selected for the scholarship will be required to sign a contract agreement with the Ministry of Health committing to serve in Rwanda's health system for a designated period after graduation.
- Candidates currently benefiting from another government-funded scholarship or those who have already graduated from another university-level program are not eligible to apply.
- Any violation of these requirements may lead to immediate disqualification and possible additional sanctions.
