The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at UM6P is more than financial support it is a transformational leadership journey. The program supports talented young African women from diverse backgrounds, including rural and urban communities, refugees, displaced persons, young mothers, and students with disabilities.

Over the next 10 years, the program aims to empower 575 African women scholars, equipping them with world-class education, entrepreneurship skills, and access to a Pan-African leadership network.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must:

Be a young African woman
Demonstrate strong academic performance and motivation
Show leadership potential and commitment to social impact
Have financial need or face barriers to higher education
Be interested in fields critical to Africa’s development
Be willing to engage in leadership and entrepreneurship initiatives
Be proficient in English or French (or willing to improve)

Special consideration is given to:
