Position Overview

Job Title: Accountant
Reports to: Operations Manager
Employment Type: Full-time

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial operations, ensuring compliance with Rwandan accounting standards, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

The Accountant position encompasses a comprehensive range of financial management duties:

Financial Documentation and Transactions

• Elaborate and maintain financial files
• Prepare documentation for all financial transactions, including undertakings, withdrawals, and payments
• Record financial transactions and maintain up-to-date books of account using accounting software

Reporting and Compliance

• Prepare periodic cash flow reports
• Compile and submit Annual Financial Statements
• Generate periodic reports for the Operations Manager
• Ensure compliance with Rwandan financial regulations and accounting standards

Payroll and Record Management

• Prepare documentation for salary payments
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive financial records

Required Qualifications

Educational Background

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields:

• Accounting
• Finance
• Business Administration

Professional Experience

A minimum of 5 years of working experience in an accounting position is required, demonstrating proven competency in financial management.

Language Proficiency

• Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda is mandatory
• French language skills are considered an added advantage
